Happy Friday! Boy the first week in the new year has been busy and cold! I know I'm already dreaming of a vacation and Spring and sunshine and they can't come soon enough! Seeing all the Resort, Spring/Summer collections online and in stores makes it almost seem like a reality.
While browsing the internets I came across Louis Vuitton's paper dolls for their Spring/Summer ready-to-wear collection. Love the vintage inspiration and the illustrations by Kerrie Hess.
What little girl doesn't have fond memories of cutting out and playing with paper dolls? I remember even getting birthday cards with paper dolls to pop out. They never lasted long though, the tabs were always the first to go. Do kids still play with these today? Or is it just computer dress up games?
Well I guess, Louis Vuitton found another way to stand out by bringing out the little girl in all of us. I don't know if it will actually sell clothes, but hey it's pretty fun. So share with a friend and have a little paper doll party this weekend. Go ahead print them out, cut them out, and start dressing those fab ladies. Maybe invite a little one to give them some fond vintage paper doll memories for their future.

ReplyDeleteWHAT FOND MEMORIES OF MANY A CHILDHOOD MOMENT! I ALWAYS LOVED PAPER DOLLS, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO DRESS THENM UP & CHANGE ALL THE OUTFITS! MAYBE THAT IS WHY i have such a passion for clothes1. CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY PRINTER WORKING! THANKS FOR BRINGING OUT THE "little girl" in me!! xoxo
